HGH (Human Growth Hormone) is a polypeptide hormone secreted by the anterior pituitary gland, composed of 191 amino acids. Recombinant human growth hormone (rhGH) is its genetically engineered product. HGH plays a crucial role in human growth and development, primarily promoting bone and soft tissue growth, regulating fat metabolism, increasing protein synthesis, reducing fat accumulation, while enhancing immune function and promoting cellular repair and regeneration. HGH is primarily used to treat growth hormone deficiency (GHD), including childhood growth retardation and adult growth hormone deficiency.
